Starkey House guests review their Finger Lakes getaway lodging experience from 2014.
TripAdvisor seems to always be the "go to" for advice on travel anywhere. I use it myself when I travel.
From an owner/innkeeper perspective, the reviews are always used as a business tool to keep myself on my toes in order to provide a consistent and great experience every time for repeat guests and those who will stay in the future. I never take any comment for granted and try to learn from the great reviews and then . . . the occasional fair one. To be honest I just appreciate the fact that people take the time to write one at all in this day and age where everyone is too busy.
I picked a few from 2014 that I thought were exceptional and expressed the type of experience that I strive everyday for from my guests. The details of customer care and satisfaction, and following through with what I promise are my priorities on a daily basis.
I am also pleased when guests take my advise about which places to hike, boat, eat, drink, etc. I learn that those suggestions are much appreciated by them and further enhance their great Finger Lakes getaway! Place another hat on my head, to add to the many that I wear as ... Finger Lakes concierge!

“Absolutely Loved 1922 Starkey House B&B”
We ( 2 couples) stayed 3 nights at 1922 Starkey House & were very impressed by the accommodations with large, lovely bedrooms with nice linens & plenty of comfortable seating room. We really appreciated the private bathrooms, the huge wrap around porch with a lovely view of Seneca Lake, the peaceful surroundings of the countryside and the proximity to so many fun & interesting things to see & do. Cathy is a very warm and welcoming host and served great breakfasts and snacks with attention to detail and farm to table intention. We would highly recommend her B&B and hope to return to enjoy more of what the area has to offer.

Our five day stay at the 1922 Starkey House Bed & Breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Cathy, the Innkeeper, is a warm and friendly host who is quite attentive to one's dietary needs. Her breakfasts are absolutely scrumptious and very filling. Cathy knows a lot about the Finger Lakes Region, and we had many wonderful conversations. Our room (Robin's Nest) was quite spacious and comfortable with a beautiful little porch. I loved the fact that you could just sit in the living room during the early part of the evening...play cards...and eat a delicious snack that Cathy provided. This Bed & Breakfast is truly a home away from home, and I look forward to coming back in the future. You will very much enjoy a visit to the 1922 Starkey House! I most highly recommend it!
