Spring is moving along quickly and guests from all over the world have come to the Finger Lakes to visit and find a stay at the Starkey House to be just what they needed for comfort and a delicious breakfast.
My latest group of guests were friends visiting New York City from other parts of the world. They decided to take a quick excursion to our country parts, in the Finger Lakes Region, to see what the United States is like away from an urban setting. Lo and behold, they discovered the Starkey House last minute and were able to stay for a night.
One of the sites they visited was She-qua-ga Falls located in Montour Falls just a couple of miles south of Watkins Glen, pictured below.
Here is what they wrote in the house journal.

We enjoyed a lot American countryside, and discovery today one American wines. [you] spent time explaining about life in the region and memories from childhood . . . gave a charming touch to our US trip. . . thanks for a succulent breakfast. . .
